I know I may have. But I really really do.
Last night we listed the truck on Craigslist. It’s a good truck but we don’t really need it any more. We used it for home improvement projects before, but there aren’t really any home improvement projects going on at this house so lately we’ve just been using it to hold the pavement in the driveway.
Since gas prices have been going up so quickly and we’ve been reading all these articles about how small cars and selling and big cars with low gas mileage aren’t, we were pretty worried. Worried it wouldn’t sell, that no one would want it and it would be stuck, sitting in our driveway forever.
We sold it this afternoon. Less than 24 hours after we listed it on Craigslist.
Holy freaking cow.
I can hardly believe it’s gone. I’ll actually kind of miss it even, it’s been in my family for 10 years, but man is it a relief that it went so quickly.
Ok, so I called my dad to tell him about the truck and I think he was kind of sad to see it go too. When I was in high school I remember being shocked when my dad went and traded in his teeny tiny little ford ranger (that was from my grandparents for me and Meg to drive when we turned 16 except we were WAY too whiny to drive it so dad took one for the team and adopted it) and came home with a HUGE freaking F-150. That thing is a behemoth! And it has been incredibly useful ever since. I mean I don’t know how you say goodbye to a car or anything (I still miss my honda civic and I sold it like 4 years ago!), but I’m still sort of shocked it’s gone.
