Craigslist

I had never used it before. I know it’s been around for a while and every one loves it and it’s awesome and has everything and blah blah blah… but I just never had a reason.

In the past two weeks I sold a patio umbrella and a refrigerator and now I think I’m in love. I mean how freaking awesome. I’m almost a little embarrassed it took me so long to ever use it, but it really worked out pretty well. The umbrella sold in about 2 days, the fridge took a little over a week, and had an email I’m about 90% sure was a scam. Someone asked how old the fridge was, I said I had no idea it came with the house, and then they offered full price and said they would arrange for their clients to send me the money and once the money cleared they would arrange to have it picked up. FISHY!

Also, it’s spelled “refrigerator” and not “refridgerator” so I think it probably got skipped for a few days due to my spelling problems. Whoops! After I fixed it I got a serious email, they came to see it on a Wednesday and they picked it up on a Friday! Yay!

  1. Craig’s List has been having problems with those types of emails. I get one like that almost every time I post something for sale. Otherwise, I love CL. People come to my house, pay for my crap and take it away!

  2. I found my current car on CL — it was through a smalltime dealer who posts some of his cars on there. Other than that, I have never bought or sold anything on there. But I love looking at all the cool stuff on there! 🙂
