So a while ago I started taping Firefly on the HD channel on my DVR. I watched about 3 episodes and they stopped showing up. A few days ago I switched the recording options to tape all instances on all channels. Today I checked the DVR and saw 11 episodes! Looks like the Sci-Fi channel ran a marathon.
So I started watching the first one on my list and decided to look up the episode titles and see how many I was missing, since I knew there weren’t too many made. It looks like the first one on my list was episode 11 of 15. So then I started looking up the rest of them and it looks like I’ve taped episodes 11, 12, 1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 14, 15, 13, 10 in that order.
Umm, what?! Isn’t the point of a marathon to get people into a show, and wouldn’t the best way to do that be to start at the beginning and play the episodes in order? Or maybe that would just make too much sense.

I was going to say that it would make sense for them to start at episode 2 or 3, because I remember the pilot and first few episodes were very slow going. But the rest of that order makes NO sense whatsoever. Very odd.
