We got home from Ohio today and although I slept in while I was there, I’m still pretty exhausted. Unfortunately since we got home late today and Pupsi is closed New Years Eve and New Years Day we can’t pick the dogs up until Wednesday morning! It’s going to be sad and quiet with them gone. Tili has been trying to fill the void but it’s just not the same without them.
So this was really the first year that Nate and I were expected to drive ourselves around Ohio. I kind of knew it was coming, but we were totally unprepared. I mean I’ve been going there for 28 years and I still have NO freaking clue where I’m going. On top of that we bought a garmin earlier this year and it didn’t even occur to me to bring it. I mean that’s why we bought it, so help us navigate in areas we don’t know very well. Somehow we made it everywhere we needed to go and I only had to turn around twice and I’m totally blaming both of those on Ohio. I mean who has a right turn light in a straight lane, and when a sign says the highway is the next left I expect to be getting onto the highway when I take the next left.
Either way, we survived!
Also – while we were gone we saw Juno and I Am Legend. I liked Juno a lot, and Legend was alright. It certainly wasn’t a bad movie, it just wasn’t quite what I expected it. Not that I knew what to expect. I just think I could have waited for it to come out on video. Mostly I wanted to see the cute dog. And it was extra cute. Juno on the other hand was adorable and I loved it.
