Last night when we got home from work we noticed that there was a U-Haul in the driveway across the street, a car we’d never seen parked in the street, and the for sale sign was leaning up against it.
I think the house across the street finally sold! (It seems like it was for sale for a really long time.. several months even).
We were pretty excited about the thought of having new neighbors.
Until this morning when we went to leave for work and noticed they had parked a big van on the street right in front of their driveway (which is directly across from our driveway). Nate drives an F-150 and we carpool most mornings, so in order to get out of the driveway this morning we had to make a 6 point turn.
Way to make a good first impression, new guys!
I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt for now. They might have just been so exhausted from moving and unpacking they just forgot to move the van, or didn’t realize how difficult it would be for us to get out of the driveway with it parked there. Although I do have to add that there were NO CARS parked in the driveway, just the two on the street. So they lose points for that one, but still. New neighbors never met them, benefit of the doubt, trying not to prejudge etc…
Hopefully we’ll see them out sometime this weekend so we can introduce ourselves, which I totally suck at by the way, so we’ll see whether or not that actually happens.
