This is the face of a dog who ate almost an entire bar of soap this morning.
It was about 1/4 used which is the only reason he didn’t eat a whole bar of soap this morning.
Don’t get me wrong, we don’t just leave random bars of soap lying around for doggie snacks. It was on a ledge next to the bath tub where Nate hangs his wet washcloths to dry. For some reason when Gouda finds them he likes to rub up against them if he can reach them. This one was somewhat hard to reach so he had to jump up a little bit to get it. When he got the washcloth he also knocked off the soap which was Nate’s “travel soap” from the weekend trip setting out to dry.
I’m sure he thought he hit the jackpot.
Anyways, Nate was instructed by the vet to give him hydrogen peroxide to try and make him throw the soap up. Of course it didn’t work so he had to go to the vet’s office so they could make him throw up. Suddenly his day was not-so-awesome.
So now Gouda is home with eye ointment, antibiotics and a gentle on his stomach wet dog food. What a day!
