Another One Bites the Dust

Last night my mixer died. I was making the chocolate lover’s cheesepie for a cookout, I had just finished mixing the cream cheese with the sugar. I turned off the mixer, went over to get the eggs out of the fridge, and when I got back the mixer wouldn’t turn back on. I had to HAND MIX the rest of the pie. If there’s one thing I don’t have, it’s upper body strength. (Or any body strength for that matter). So anyways, I think it came out alright. We’ll see.

On the other hand, this is the SECOND MIXER I have killed. Maybe I should finally shell out for that kitchenaid I’ve always wanted. Or maybe I’ll just spend more than $10 for the next mixer I buy. I think that might help.

  2. The Kitchenaid’s are lovely. I plan on stealing my mom’s (that she never uses) as soon as we have a bigger kitchen. Plus, they last for-ev-errr. I swear she’s had that one for at least 10 years.

I have a pink Kitchenaid mixer where part of the proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen foundation. It was expensive but worth it – and it will probably last forever. I’ve also got the small pink Kitchenaid hand mixer. It was only around $80.00. That is actually what I used when I made your cheesepie instead of the artisan.

Mmmm, Chocolate Lovers Cheesepie. Maybe I should make another one too!!
Happy 4th! To bad it falls in the middle of a work week but at least we get off early today and all day tommorrow!
